Instructions
Quarter apples, peal, and remove cores and stems; place in deep saucepan with water and brown sugar.
Cover and cook for [cooked-timer minutes="25"]25 minutes[/cooked-timer] or until apples are soft enough to mash.
When cool, lightly stir in sour cream. Or add raisins and chopped nuts, or a little horseradish.
